KLM RACE // TURBO KIT

BMW 340i Turbo Kit (Gen 1 B58)

$6,170.55

The 340i Turbo Kit is our standard big-single setup for the Gen 1 B58, and it's built the way we build all our hot parts: fabricated in-house so the packaging is ours instead of a vendor's. The manifold and downpipe are welded up here, which lets us keep the runners tight to the head and prioritize the wastegate so exhaust energy reaches boost control before it hits the turbine. We run the Turbosmart GenV HyperGate45 to keep that control honest under load.

The fittings and block adapters are machined in-house. Oil return, oil feed, the catch can fitting, and both coolant block fittings are cut for the B58, so they seat clean without stacking adapters to make something generic fit. The drain line, the 10AN oil drain outlet flange, and the 22" stainless feed line are built to the kit, not adapted to it.

We don't modify the compressor housing to make a turbo fit. That's on purpose. You can swap turbos at the track without cutting or welding, so when your combo changes the kit doesn't fight you.

Plan on 4 to 6 weeks from order to ship. Manifolds are fabricated in house and the hot side of every kit is built to order, which is where the time goes. Fittings are machined in house and most small hardware is stocked, so once your hot parts are done the kit moves quickly.

Our kits fit what they are labeled to fit. If the kit says G8X and you have an M4, it bolts up. What we cannot know is what else is already on your car. If your setup is heavily modified and you genuinely do not know if the kit will clear it, email us with what you are working with and we will figure it out together.

If something is wrong with a part, wrong item, missing hardware, a defect, contact us and we will make it right. What we do not do is walk you through installation. Our parts are meant to be installed by a shop or someone with real experience on these platforms, and if that is not you, consult a shop. It is cheaper than the mistakes.

For standard kits, the most popular choices are the Precision 7275 and 6870, with the 7275 carrying more power potential. The real answer lives with your tuner though. Tell them the numbers you want to hit and ask what they normally run, they will be tuning it, so their experience with a given turbo matters. SAVAGE kits play at a higher level and turbo choice matters even more, so definitely have that conversation with your tuner first. Still stuck either way? Email us with what you are trying to accomplish and we will point you in the right direction.

Nothing, the kits are complete. Everything you need to install is in the box, no chasing extra parts. The one exception is the SAVAGE turn down option, which exits before the factory exhaust, so if you go that route your exhaust comes off. Beyond that the only thing left is the tune, see the tuning question below.

Yes, no exceptions. A turbo kit changes everything the factory calibration assumes about airflow and boost, and running one without a proper tune is how engines die. Get your tuner lined up before the kit arrives, tell them what you are running, and do not make full boost until the calibration is done. Most people are best served by a good local tuner who can put the car on a dyno. If you are striking out on finding one, email us, we may know someone in your area, and remote tuning is an option we can point you toward as well.
