The KLM Ice Box is a complete air-to-water chill setup that ships ready to plumb from A to B. It's built around parts we make in-house, starting with the tank: powder-coated wrinkle black, with a billet pump mounting bracket welded to the side and one of our billet lids on top. That lid seals on a gasket and an o-ring so it won't weep, and it carries a bleeder valve in the corner to relieve any pressure that builds in the system.
The pump is a Pierburg CWA-series unit, the same class of pump people run on V10 setups, so there's real flow behind it. We machine the housing and install our own machined fitting to convert it to 16AN, so it plumbs into the rest of the kit clean instead of relying on a stack of adapters. It mounts to the welded billet bracket with the supplied coupler running into the tank.
The pass-through is where the in-house machining earns its keep. It's a one-piece billet flange carrying 16AN, 12AN, and 10AN, and because it's cut from solid it can't leak the way a fabricated multi-piece pass-through can. It drops through the floor so your lines run out the bottom of the car and forward to the intake manifold. We locate the 10AN drain fitting at a specific height on purpose: hit the valve and the tank drains to exactly the right level to add two bags of ice, then stops. Walk away and it won't run the tank dry, which matters, because ice with no water to circulate cools nothing.
The kit taps into the factory cooling system rather than bypassing it, so the heat exchanger stays in play. Even with no ice in the tank, the water keeps cool through the factory exchanger for street driving. We also include a billet block-off plug for the factory reservoir, so you can pull the reservoir and clip the plug right into the hose.
